Cheese samosa

For those who are bored of the usual samosa that is made at home here is a new recipe to be tried....
Cheese samosa
Ingredients
 For the dough

Maida 2 cups                                                     
Salt to taste
Oil 2T
Shahjeera  2t
For the stuffing

Mix of mozzarella and plain cheese 200g
Red chilli flakes 2t
Oregano 1t
Olives 2T
Salt to taste
Method:
For the preparation of the dough, first mix maida, salt, oil and shahjeera together. Now add necessary water for making the dough. Cover the dough and keep it separately. For the stuffing add equal proportions of mozzarella and plain cheese, red chilli flakes , oregano olives and salt. Mix thoroughly.
 The cheese samosa can be made into 2 shapes
For typical samosa shape



*Make small balls from the dough.
*Roll the ball into thin chapathi.
*Cut it in to two halves.
* Spread some water on the edges.
*Now take one half and fold it into a cone shape.
*Fill the cone with the filling and seal the mouth of the cone.
Thereby each half is made into a samosa.
For the ‘packets’ shape
                   
*Roll the ball into a puri.
*Cut each into a square.
*Put  the filling in the middle and fold into triangular packets by sticking the sides..


 Fry the samosas in medium heat and serve it with tomato sauce.

Dhal kichadi!
For the start I like to share a simple yet a delicious recipe..... Ever wondered what to make for a meal apart from the usual rice, sambhar and curry? Well then the best solution would be dhal kichadi! Since dhal kichadi is made out of dhal, rice and vegetables you will get all the nutrition required in one dish! 
Ingredients
Oil 2-3 tsp
Ghee 2-3 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
Green chillies (slit) 4
Jeera/ cumin seeds 1 tsp
Pepper 1tsp
Diced vegetables (carrot,beans,potato) 1 cup
Chopped onions 2 (medium size) 
Copped coriander,curry leave, mint leaves 1/2 cup
Chopped tomatoes 3 (medium size)
Rice 1 cup
Moong dhal / green gram 1/2 cup

Method : Heat the oil and add mustard seeds. Once it crackles add pepper, jeera, onions and green chillies. Fry well then add tomatoes ,coriander,mint leaves. Mix well. Now add cut vegetables, salt, rice, and dhal. Mix well and pressure cook it for 4-5 whistles. Once cooked add ghee and serve hot.
